    Compassionate, professional dementia care team

I hired this Sheboygan in-home care team for my dad and was very pleased - compassionate, knowledgeable caregivers who provided professional dementia care, 1-on-1 companionship, organized meds, and even accompanied him to appointments. Management is responsive and organized, staff are screened and well-trained with reliable backup plans, communication with our family was excellent, and it truly reduced our stress; I would use them again and recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The reviews portray Embrace as an agency with a strong emphasis on compassionate, client-focused in-home care, especially for clients with dementia and those who want to remain at home. Families frequently emphasize caregivers who provide companionship, one-on-one attention, appointment accompaniment, and active help with medication organization. Many accounts highlight a positive local reputation and a perception that the service reduces family stress and delivers good value through peace of mind.

Caregiver quality: Caregivers are consistently described as caring, patient, and knowledgeable — with specific competence in dementia care and client-centered companionship. Reviewers note one-on-one attention, empathy, and practical supports (transport to appointments, medication organization). The agency’s stated practices around screening, training, and an interdisciplinary approach are reflected in reviewer comments that praise capable, organized staff and coordinated care planning.

Communication and reliability: Office responsiveness and family communication are recurring strengths. Reviews describe timely answers to questions, quick responses to needs, and a collaborative, client-focused approach from the office and interdisciplinary team. Several families cited backup plans and contingency arrangements, which supports continuity of care. Scheduling flexibility and staff patience with clients and families are also noted as positive operational features.

Management, processes, and value: The management team and structured processes receive positive mention: screening of workers, training, and an organized approach to assigning and supervising caregivers. These operational elements appear to contribute to families feeling reassured and willing to recommend the agency. The combination of clinical knowledge (dementia care), administrative responsiveness, and caregiver empathy produces a commonly stated outcome of reduced family stress and a sense of safety for the client.

Notable patterns and a caution: While the dominant themes are positive, at least one reviewer raised concerns about unprofessional staff behavior and a related safety/policy compliance issue. This suggests occasional variability in caregiver professionalism or in adherence to safety and policy procedures. Prospective clients should treat this as an operational risk to discuss directly with the agency rather than evidence of a systemic failure.

Practical suggestions for families considering Embrace: Ask the agency about caregiver matching and supervision, specifics of their training and background checks, written safety and policy-compliance procedures, how incidents are documented and resolved, and details about backup coverage and scheduling practices. Request references or examples of dementia-care plans and inquire about billing transparency and what is included in a typical visit to confirm perceived value aligns with family expectations.
