St. Gabriel’s Hospice & Palliative Care

303 W Harris Ave Suite 1, San Angelo, TX 76903

    Compassionate knowledgeable responsive home care

I'm very pleased with this agency's compassionate, knowledgeable, and always-available caregivers and nurses-Tammy in particular was clear, thorough, and attentive. The team collaborated seamlessly, responded immediately to equipment and clinical issues, handled supplies, and provided the emotional, family-focused support that kept my mom comfortable at home. They listened and accommodated our wishes; I highly recommend them, with only small room for improvement.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression The review summaries portray St. Gabriel’s Hospice & Palliative Care as a clinically competent, family-focused in-home hospice provider. Families consistently emphasize compassionate, respectful caregivers and strong clinical oversight from nurses and physicians. The agency is described as attentive to dignity and personal needs, and reviewers highlight both hands-on caregiving and an ability to address clinical issues promptly.

Caregiver quality and clinical management Caregivers are characterized as warm, professional, and emotionally supportive; reviewers repeatedly mention kindness, sensitivity, and long, attentive shifts. Clinical staff receive high marks for knowledge and responsiveness — reviewers note that nurses quickly identify and treat problems and that physicians listen and accommodate family preferences. Several summaries describe coordinated, team-based care and thorough follow-through, which supports consistent symptom management and comfort-focused goals.

Communication, reliability, and scheduling Communication emerges as a strong point: families describe clear, regular updates and informative, family-focused interactions. Reviewers also cite prompt responses to urgent needs and quick resolution of equipment issues. While availability and rapid responsiveness are emphasized, the summaries do not provide granular detail about routine scheduling logistics (for example, explicit descriptions of night/weekend coverage or caregiver assignment continuity). Prospective clients should confirm specific scheduling needs and continuity expectations with the office.

Value, management, and notable patterns The aggregated comments portray the agency as delivering care that helps families avoid institutional placement and supports end-of-life goals with dignity. Emotional and bereavement support is noted alongside clinical care, indicating a holistic approach. What is less visible in these summaries is information about billing practices and long-term transition planning; reviewers focus on care quality rather than cost or contractual detail. For decision making, families will likely find St. Gabriel’s strong on clinical competence, compassion, and responsiveness, but should ask the agency directly about pricing, insurance handling, caregiver continuity, and formal transition or discharge planning to ensure those operational aspects meet their needs.
