Tender Care Home Health & Hospice

    Compassionate Professional Dependable In-Home Care

I hired Tender Care for in-home senior care and was very pleased - professional, compassionate, and dependable nurses and caregivers (Angela, Christy, Tina and others), clear explanations from staff and therapists, excellent PT/OT and wound care, coordinated medical and hospice support, responsive office communication, and comforting spiritual support from Father Andres. There was minor room for improvement, but their warm, attentive team made a difficult time much easier and I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Tender Care Home Health & Hospice elicits predominantly positive feedback for its clinical staff and supportive approach. Across many accounts, nurses and aides are described as compassionate, respectful, and clinically competent; wound care, nursing education, and home-based physical/occupational therapy are repeatedly identified as strengths. Families also highlight coordinated clinical advocacy (including communication with physicians), hospice-focused social and spiritual supports, and availability of chaplaincy/volunteer services. Several named clinicians were praised for responsiveness and clinical skill, which contributed to perceptions of strong value and meaningful improvement in clients' daily function.

At the same time, a pattern of operational weaknesses appears in the reviews. Scheduling reliability and consistent assignment of caregivers are recurring concerns: reviewers cited missed or late visits, preference and allergy information not always being transmitted, and occasional “drive-by” or incomplete visits. These incidents point to broader challenges with shift coverage and handoffs rather than isolated bedside-care skill issues. Office communication is described as responsive by many families, but there are notable gaps around after-hours availability and management follow-up that have created stress during urgent or end-of-life moments.

Clinical continuity and administrative follow-through are mixed. While many reviewers praised strong hospice coordination and clinician advocacy, others described variability in clinician presence and in symptom/medication management consistency. A subset of reviews raised serious administrative concerns — delays in post-death paperwork, complications around death pronouncement and documentation, and at least one allegation of improper medication handling — matters that families indicated required escalation and clearer protocols. Additionally, a few narratives describe unprofessional interactions that affected trust, suggesting the need for strengthened conduct and communication training.

Overall, Tender Care demonstrates clear strengths in bedside clinical care, rehabilitative therapy, and family-centered hospice supports. These clinical strengths are tempered by operational and administrative inconsistencies that can affect reliability and family confidence during care transitions and end-of-life events. Prospective clients and families who prioritize clinical skill, hospice services, and home-based therapy may find high-quality care here, but should discuss scheduling practices, on-call/after-hours procedures, and specific documentation timelines up front to mitigate the identified operational risks.
