    Warm compassionate reliable exceptional care

I'm very pleased with this agency's warm, compassionate, and professional care - the caregivers and nurses are knowledgeable, reliable, and truly focused on comfort and quality of life. They made thorough home visits, integrated our family into care, offered counseling and spiritual support, and often went above and beyond (once driving 85 miles to bring oxygen and staying past midnight). They're responsive, available for weekly visits, and I'm deeply grateful for their kindness and support - I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression The reviews present a largely positive picture of frontline caregiving at Stillwater Hospice Great Falls: reviewers frequently emphasize warmth, compassion, and a strong orientation toward comfort and quality of life. Caregivers are described as emotionally supportive and relationally attentive, with examples of staff providing extended help and practical problem‑solving beyond standard expectations. Family integration and spiritual or counseling support are recurring strengths, and several accounts note well‑executed nursing and comfort‑care practices during home visits. Caregiver quality and reliability Caregiver skill and bedside manner are the dominant strengths. Reviews highlight thorough home visits, professional nursing input, and a willingness by some staff to exceed expectations (an example cited a caregiver arranging emergency oxygen delivery and extending time on site). Many families describe consistent, scheduled visits and staff who are responsive when contacted. At the same time, there are indications of variability: while most descriptions are strongly positive, at least one review raises concerns that suggest occasional lapses in oversight or responsiveness. Office communication, scheduling, and administrative processes The agency’s on‑call responsiveness and availability are praised in multiple accounts, suggesting useful accessibility for families. However, there are also specific criticisms of case management communication and administrative processes. One reviewer described poor case manager communication and delays in authorization; this indicates potential friction between clinical staff and the administrative workflows that enable timely care. Scheduling flexibility appears generally adequate (weekly visits and responsive contact are noted), but administrative delays around authorizations could affect perceived timeliness of services. Infection‑prevention and care oversight A notable concern raised in one review relates to infection‑prevention practices. That comment, alongside the isolated account of unhelpful service, points to the need for consistent clinical oversight and infection‑control protocols across all staff. While most feedback praises competence and compassion, management should treat such concerns as operational risks that merit review and reinforcement of protocols and training. Value, management, and patterns to weigh There is strong evidence that the agency delivers high‑value, person‑centered hospice care for many families: compassionate staff, integrated counseling and spiritual care, and demonstrable instances of staff going beyond assigned duties. Management areas to prioritize based on the feedback include improving case manager communication, streamlining authorization workflows, and ensuring uniform infection‑prevention and care‑quality oversight. Prospective clients should weigh the consistently positive reports of caregiver quality and family support against the isolated but potentially consequential administrative and clinical oversight concerns. Visiting with agency leadership or asking about authorization timelines, infection‑control policies, and case manager communication procedures would help families assess fit before enrollment.
